Data Engineer

We are looking for a smart Data Engineer with experience in building data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines and business intelligence solutions.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of data lakes and data warehouses
  • Building and running data pipelines in cloud environment
  • Monitoring the performance of the ETLs and proposing the improvements
  • Testing, deployment, troubleshooting
  • Documenting the implemented solutions
  • Improving your technical skills and learning new technologies

Your profile:

Must have:

  • Experience in building data warehouses, data lakes and data pipelines
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Fluent SQL
  • Very good command in Python
  • Experience with modern RDBMS, ideally PostgreSQL or Amazon Redshift
  • Fluent English
  • B. Sc. in Computer Science or similar domain
  • Sense of quality
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly

Any of the below would be a nice addition:

  • Good working knowledge of Airflow, Prefect or dbt
  • Exposure to Spark, Kafka, Flink, or any other big data technology
  • Experience with any commercial MPP database
  • Good working knowledge of CI/CD workflows and tools
  • Familiarity with modern data processing and software development techniques
  • Orientation in cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Fluent German would be awesome
